Overview
Jenkon provides software and related services to companies in the direct selling and network marketing industries. Jenkon's software helps companies manage their sales organizations and their commission plans.
Mission
Jenkon will help its direct selling clients grow their businesses by providing software and related services that improve communication with their representatives, increase their control over key business drivers and facilitate international growth.
Industry
The Direct Selling industry consists of companies who manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers. Network Marketing companies create a network of independent sales representatives through which their products or service makes its way to the final consumer. Well-known examples are Amway, Avon, Tupperware, and Mary Kay cosmetics. Companies in these industries have combined worldwide revenues of over $80B a year. Of this, 75% is outside of the United States.
Networks of representatives can include more than a million people and can have a complex structure to reflect hierarchical relationships. Direct selling companies create compensation plans to reward their independent representatives for the sales of products and the recruitment of additional representatives. Compensation plans can be highly complex and unique to each company as they develop a formula to motivate the mix of sales and enrollment best suited to their business model. Compensation plans can consist of many criteria including level in the sales organization, meeting qualifying criteria, bonuses, contests and special incentives. Creating lineage and compensation management software is a challenge that requires in-depth industry experience and knowledge.

History
Dan Jensen and Konson Gee founded Jenkon in 1978 as a computer consulting company. In 1979, Jenkon modified a client's software to track their genealogy and calculate commissions. Since then, Jenkon has developed an entire suite of software products for the direct selling industry.
Since its founding Jenkon has worked with over 800 direct selling companies in over 35 countries. Jenkon has been a supplier member of the Direct Selling Association since 1984. Jenkon's specialty is the development, installation and support of software systems Direct Selling companies use for sales force lineage and compensation plan management.
